Over 1600 animals neutered & spayed to date
In just six years, one unspayed cat or dog and her offspring can produce 67,000 kittens or puppies.
Stray Animal Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the education and the prevention of cruelty to animals. The purpose is to fund neuter/spay programs and to provide education for responsible pet ownership. We are starting our mission in Peru as it is estimated that there are over 12 millions dogs and cats in the streets.
Who We Are
We’re a group of passionate animal-lovers keeping dogs and cats out of shelters and off the streets one spay/neuter at a time. Dog person, cat person, bird person, turtle person, pig person — if you’re an animal person, you’re one of our people.
What We Do
We are a fully donation-based organization that works with vets in Peru to spay/neuter animals from low-income families, strays, and animals living in shelters (they are run by people with no government support so they always struggle with funds for food, meds, etc.). In other words, we focus on animals that otherwise won’t be fixed. We have already spayed and neutered hundreds of animals, preventing the births of thousands more – all thanks to our generous donors.
