In just six years, one unspayed cat or dog and her offspring can produce 67,000 kittens or puppies.
Stray Animal Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the education and the prevention of cruelty to animals. The purpose is to fund neuter/spay programs and to provide education for responsible pet ownership. We are starting our mission in Peru as it is estimated that there are over 12 millions dogs and cats in the streets.
We are a fully donation-based organization that works with vets to spay/neuter animals from low-income families, strays, and animals living in shelters (they are run by people with no government support so they always struggle with funds for food, meds, etc.). In other words, we focus on animals that otherwise won’t be fixed.
