Stray Animal Project

Our mission

Our Mission

Stray Animal Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the education and the prevention of cruelty to animals. The purpose is to fund neuter/spay programs and to provide education for responsible pet ownership. We are starting our mission in Peru as it is estimated that there are over 12 millions dogs and cats in the streets.

Our impact is three-fold:

Animal welfare

Prevention of stray animals that suffer from hunger, animal cruelty or get killed by cars. Also, less stray animals mean that each of them will have a higher chance of finding a home.

Public health

The highest concentration of stray animals are in the poorest areas where children are also vulnerable to the diseases transmitted by different bacterias or viruses.

Economic Relief for Pet Owners

Many underprivileged pet owners are concerned about their pets reproducing because they wouldn’t be able to afford taking care of the offspring and don’t have the resources to pay for a surgery.

We have neutered & spayed over 3000 dogs and cats to date and we need you help to continue our mission. Please consider making a donation today.
