Over 25,000 animals neutered & spayed since 2020

In just six years, one unspayed cat or dog and her offspring can produce 67,000 kittens or puppies.

Stray Animal Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the education and the prevention of cruelty to animals. Our purpose is to fund neuter and spay programs, and to provide education for responsible pet ownership. We are starting our mission in Peru, where there are more than an estimated 12 million dogs and cats in the streets.

What We Do

We are a fully donation-based organization that works with vets to spay/neuter animals from low-income families, strays, and animals living in shelters. Shelters in Peru are run by people with no government support so they always struggle with funds for food, meds, etc. In other words, we focus on animals that otherwise won’t be fixed.
